Easy Sit n Go Poker Tournaments
When you look for the easiest sit n go poker tournaments, you will usually wind up at some of the smaller poker sites like
Players Only. This site is located on the Merge poker network and this is home to some of the softest sit n go tournaments that you will find anywhere. The same can be said about the low to mid-stakes cash games on this site.
If you plan to play in any of the sit n go tournaments on Full Tilt Poker or Pokerstars, just be aware that there is some tough players on these websites. You will find more sit n go tournaments here than anywhere else, but this attracts some of the best players in the world. Easy Multi-Table Poker Tournaments
Most of the money is in the top 3 prize spots, and if you are playing in any large poker tournaments with a buy-in of $24 or more... you can be sure that the final table will have some good players at it. These tournaments can have huge prizes for first place so some of the really great poker players are attracted to tournaments at this stake level.
The tournaments with buy-ins of $20 or less are where you will begin to see lots of fishy poker players. The tournaments with $10-$20 buy-ins can still have several thousands of dollars awarded to first place, and these tournaments are much easier to beat than the MTTs with buy-ins above $20-$25.
So which site has the easiest multi-table poker tournaments?
The smaller networks usually do not have enough players to make the MTTs worth your time. The best places to find easy poker tournaments to win a lot of money at the $10-$20 stake levels is on Full Tilt Poker and Pokerstars.
Easy Ways to Win Money in Poker Tournaments
Be Patient - It only takes a few hands to get into great position in any poker tournament. If I had to choose, I would certainly prefer that those big hands came late in the tournament... so there is nothing wrong with simply holding your own in a poker tournament. You need to make it into the final table to see a reasonable return on your money, and more often than not; that is a long way away.
Protect Chip Position and Not Individual Chips - It is OK to sacrifice a few chips and it is important to be liberal with your chips sometimes. However, it is not acceptable to sacrifice 1/2 of your chip stack without a great reason. This is an amount of chips that will affect the way you play if it is lost. You need to protect your chip position within the tournament.
Poker Tournament FAQ
Are Omaha poker tournaments easier to beat than NL Holdem tournaments?
In my opinion (The Great Loui Levino, yes, Omaha poker tournaments are easier to beat than Holdem. However, the same differences I would normally discuss between Holdem and Omaha don't necessarily apply in tournament poker. There is an element of the game that makes it more likely you will be in a coin flip situation because of the drawing strength of most Omaha hands. If the stacks are deep, you can avoid this to some extent.
Where can I find the largest online poker tournaments?
Full Tilt Poker and Pokerstars have the largest MTT tournaments and the competitors are not even close behind in this regard. The tournaments at Pokerstars are slightly larger than Full Tilt as a whole, but Full Tilt has a few more tournaments each day; especially late at night.
